Things To Do When You're Feeling Uninspired
TOPIC OF THIS POST: Inspiration. I honestly wish someone had written something like this when I was in the biggest creative rut of my entire existence. I'm talking extreme loss of motivation to do anything creative - most likely caused by overwhelming amounts of pressure that I put upon myself. As most of you probably noticed by my absence on this blog, this happened recently. I've compiled a list of things to do if you are struggling to find your creativity. These are the things that helped me get back on track.
Some of the best days I've had have been spent glued to my bed, my mind immersed in a whole other reality. Books are important to me. They've given me a passion for visualisation through writing and have given me an appreciation for words. There's no better way to get you inspired than to read a good book.
Here are some of my faves: Of Bees and Mist, The Great Gatsby, Harry Potter (all of them), Breakfast at Tiffany's, The Rosie Project, Nasty Galaxy (click here to see my post on this book), I'll Give You The Sun, Live Love Life and The Sky is Everywhere.
MUSIC/ MY FAVE ARTISTS
Laid-back, chill vibes: Petit Buscuit, Supercruel, Chet Faker, Troye Sivan, Ed Sheeran ,Lorde, Bon Ivor, Broods, Ellie Goulding, Zayn
Amelie - A French film about a girl living in Paris as a waitress. She falls in love with a stranger and steals his photos after he accidentally leaves them behind and zooms off on a bike. Tres Francais.
Seeking a Friend for the End of the World - This one is a bit sad, but it gives you a sense of appreciation. It's an unoriginal story told in an original way.
Begin Again - Keira Knightley portrays a heartbroken girl determined to not be heartbroken. This movie is a feel-good film that makes you want to grab a guitar and start busking.
The Devil Wears Prada - Only one to be enjoyed if you love fashion and Anne Hathaway. While you're at it, go ahead and watch Love and Other Drugs too.
Midnight in Paris -A film that follows Owen Wilson in Paris through the ages.
About Time - My all-time favourite movie. Time travel, romance and self discovery through someone else? Yes, please.
Best for tips on Veganism and happy living: Margot Lee, Cartia Mallan, Hitomi Mochizuki, Wild Daze
Make a mood board: use Polyvore

Do the 30 days of journaling challenge. Do the 30 days of taking photos challenge. Go somewhere and write down exactly what you see around you and how it makes you feel. If you don't want to write it down, just think about it.
Before you go, what are some things you do to get inspired?
