Frank Body Glow Mask - Is it worth the hype?

🌹.。・:*:Frank Body Glow Mask Review // FAUX SILK  ・・:*:・。.

This particular mask has intrigued me for a while considering it's designed for the morning as a quick-fix to smooth over tired complexions. Some of the ingredients include arabica seed extract, shea butter, goji berry extract, licorice root extract, grape seed oil, coconut oil and cocoa seed butter (just to name a few). I've compiled together a little research on exactly what some of the main ingredients can do for you and what their overall benefits are.

Among being an anti-inflammatory, Shea butter is known for its moisturising properties due to a number of components - one of them being fatty acids. These don't sound good for you but are amazing for your hair, nails and skin. You can also find beneficial fatty acids in foods such as avocado and almonds.

In addition to the heaps of skin-loving vitamins, Shea butter has been known toincrease collagen production which as most of you probably know smoothes out skin texture and speeds up the healing process of scars and hyperpigmentation caused by acne. It also has been used as ananti-ageingproperty in many cosmetics.

The list of benefits from grape seed oil, extract and grapes in general could go on forever, however I'll narrow it down briefly to what exactly it can do for your skin.

Grape seed extract is crazy high in antioxidants, is anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory. If you have problem skin, I strongly suggest investing in products with this in it. It's natural, safe, amazing for sensitive skin and is all around very beneficial. Studies show that eating grapes could even be a preventative for certain cancers ( !! ), so it kind of makes sense to put some of its extract on your face.

This natural plant derivative is high in antioxidants and has been proven to contribute to smoother skin as it helps with moisture retention and improves circulation. All of Frank's products contain this super ingredient! These are only a few of the many benefits to this mask.

Check out Frank's website for more details on these ingredients.

Think thick vanilla icing being smothered across your whole face and that pretty much sums up the application, feel and smell of this product. I'm pretty sure I nearly started crying happy tears when I first applied this purely because I was so excited to be able to put this on my face three times a week.

In terms of the immediate effects, the one thing I noticed is that you can literally feel it condition your skin. Over the last month I have used this mask twice a week and although I can't say it gives you perfect glowing skin that lasts the whole day, it does definitely make your skin feel incredibly soft. It smoothes your pores over and works as like an Au natural face primer that also goes wonderfully under makeup. Did I mention that you only have to leave this on for five minutes? As suggested by Frank, I usually pop this on after a shower and before any moisturiser, make myself a coffee and hang out on my balcony as it sinks in.

So for the important question of whether this product makes you glow, this was kind of heartbreaking for me because after taking the vanilla goodness off of my face, I didn't see any difference in the radiance of my skin at all.

In saying this, it has helped me create a healthier, smoother complexion whenever I use it. I would suggest leaving this mask on for around 15-20 minutes for more benefits (although it's still a nice, luxurious treatment for your face if you're short on time).

I would still 100% recommend this mask as it really is a wonderful combination of skin-beneficial properties for a pretty good price of $21.95 AU.

Let me know if you guys have tried this and whether you've had different results/ or if you want to give it a go in the comments!
