Loving Tan Deluxe Bronzing Mousse Review

 Is it Worth the Hype?

//

I'm pretty excited about this review for a few reasons; firstly, I wasn't sure whether this would be a positive or negative outcome, and I was really hoping it would result in me raving about how amazing this product is (and yes, I was right!) and also, I feel as though I put my money somewhere that I would happily support consistently. If you're interested in learning more about this product, please keep reading! xx

Loving Tan blew up last year, with celebrities and your every-day girl of the like purchasing and loving this product. I was unsure because, well, it's a little more pricey (about $35 for a 120ml bottle and about $55 for the larger one, and I'd rather spend that money differently) however, I decided to bite the bullet and see what all the fuss was about. I'm normally quite pale. In saying that, I'm part Spanish and tan really quickly, but tans usually fade on me within a few days.

I've always stuck to Bondi Sands despite the fact I despise the colour payoff on me (I go orange) because it's cheaper and more accessible. Loving tan was that one thing I told myself I'd try out even though it took a year for me to actually do.

A few days ago, I picked the less expensive, original Deluxe Bronzing Mousse (the six hour one) up at David Jones just in case I didn't like it.
I was very wrong!

Guys, this product is insanely good. I'm sorry if many of you have already tried it and and are sitting there rolling your eyes at my late attempt at this. If this is so, please let me know your thoughts below!

The product claims to produce a streak-free application every time, and while that is mostly true (I say "mostly" because it depends on how well you do it, and how experienced you are) There are obviously some points that you should cover before you apply the product.

Firstly, Exfoliate! Have a shower, scrub and then dry yourself completely. After this, go in with moisturiser (this is actually mentioned on the bottle as well) and moisturise everywhere you will be applying the tan- making sure to focus on knees, elbows and wrists are they tend to patch a lot in those areas. If you follow those simple steps, you should notice the application is a lot smoother and mess-free.

PS: I strongly recommend a tanning mitt.

Personally, when I have a bit of colour I feel a lot more confident and healthy. This product is definitely worth the $$$, especially considering it's salon strength. The bottle will probably last you about 10 applications. In other words, it's a yes from me!

A few things I love about this product:

Fragrance:

The smell is amazing- coconut, musky and very feminine.

Colour:
It really gives you a natural olive complexion with cool undertones that result in a brown tan, not an orange one.

Flattering:

It highlights and shades your body in the most flattering way / makes you appear a lot more toned and healthier.

Wear:

A light application lasted me about 5 days (of smooth-wearing) before it started to go patchy. Which leads me onto the next point...

Things I disliked:

After the product wore off, the patchy-ness was horrible. And it was really hard to get offHowever, in saying that, even salon tans go terribly patchy. It's not surprising. I recommend investing in a coffee scrub like Frank Body to aid with getting old tan off.

Have you guys tried Loving Tan? If you have, tell me what you think in the comments below!

  3. I love the smell of coconut so I can imagine how nice this must smell! I've never had good luck with self tanning products like this, but it looks great and I'd love to try something that actually works!

  6. You look pretty without the tanning too in my opinion, but if it makes you feel more confident then I'm all for it!
